Broadcast data on the watch

The Apple Watch is the perfect device when seconds and minutes matter. During live broadcasts, hosts need to know when they will be on air again at any time. There is a plan for this, but it can change. Therefore, it's good to be informed in real time with a glance at the Apple Watch. And it's good that tactile signals draw attention to the Watch when it's needed.

The challenge

How do you support hosts during their live broadcasts? How can changes to the broadcast schedule be communicated within seconds or minutes when the host is on-site and not in her broadcast studio?

The solution

The Apple Watch is the ideal device for transmitting real-time information in any broadcasting situation. The watch app from David Systems obtains its data directly from the server system where the broadcast data is updated. The apps makes the data visible on the watch screen, so that a glance at this device is enough to be up to date. The host will see that music is currently playing and when he will be on air again. Time-critical changes or reminders of the next live broadcast shortly before the start are provided with tactile signals. All of this can be configured in the app on the phone.

The result

Hosts have an additional assurance during their shows that they will not miss their cues. In the studio they receive the information on their large screens, when they report on-site, the phone and also the watch serve to keep them up to date about the broadcast at all times.
